The scenic setting of La Push harbor, with adjacent islands, pinnacles and reefs, offers the best of Washington's wildlife viewing. The Olympic National Wildlife refuge off La Push is where a large portion of Washington's marine mammals, sea birds, whales and island habits exist. This area has the diverse habitats that attracts wildlife species often difficult to find elsewhere.
Wildlife viewing, whale and bird watching are ongoing activities for the entire summer. This refuge consists of a portion of 870 islands, rocks and reefs that are protected from human disturbance. 150,000 pelagic birds nest annually on these islands including; Petrels, Auklets, Puffins, Murres, Gulls, Comorants, Oystercatchers, Guillemots and more. Seals, Sea Lions, Orcas and whales compliment this wilderness area. At sea it's often like being in an exciting National Geographic special.
Tours will be made from the Snow goose, a 23' Bayliner Trophy. The Snow goose has a heated hard cabin and room for four. Radar, GPS, VHF, CB, Plotter and fish finder are standard equipment. Bring your lunch, beverages, hat, sunglasses, camera, and foul weather gear. Washington Outdoor Adventures offers La Push Nature Tour Charters for three to four adventures per day for $150 each.
